With schools closed and online teaching becoming mainstream, Malta Government Investments (MGI) teamed up with St Margaret College to deliver a number of sessions by leading personalities from both the public and private sectors. The sessions provided students with an opportunity to leave their “virtual classrooms” and interact with these personalities. This resulted in a programme consisting of 16 online sessions that were spread over a couple of weeks to which students and teachers from all over Malta and Gozo were invited.

The speakers included Dr Lydia Abela, Wife of the Prime Minister of Malta, Mr Kevin Chircop Executive Chairman (Enemed Co. Ltd.), Mr Neil Kerr Head of Cabinet EU Commission, Mr Anthony Gatt Director Caritas Malta, Mr Geoffrey Debono CEO Michael Debono Group, Ms Roberta Abela CFO (Enemed Co. Ltd.), Dr Simon Schembri Partner Ganado Advocates, Mr Godwin Mifsud Director General Economic Policy Department, Mr Joe Cordina Executive Chairman Gozo Channel (Operations) Ltd., Mr Hervé Delpech Chief Strategy Officer APS Bank, Mr Robert Cauchi Group CEO KPH Group Ltd., Mr Julian Mamo Managing Director GasanMamo Insurance, Mr Richard Bilocca CEO Wasteserv Malta Ltd., Mr Marc Frasson Country Manager Bureau Vallée Franchise, Ambassador Helga Mizzi Senior Diplomatic Advisor to The President of the Republic and Mro Sigmund Mifsud Executive Chairman (Malta Philharmonic Orchestra). His Excellency George Vella, President of Malta also joined in the session from San Anton Palace for a Q&A session with the children. The sessions which were held between 29th May and 25th June were well attended and engaging.
